Kristen Holbrook (she/her/hers) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). Kristen graduated with a Masters in Counselling Psychology. She is also certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an alternative to traditional talk therapy.

Kristen has always had a passion for working with people, and after working with several different populations for many years in the helping profession, she decided to enter the field of counselling. Her experience as a counsellor includes working with those who have experienced trauma in an agency setting and working with clients who have struggled with addiction and mental health issues in a treatment center.

In 2016, Kristen transitioned into full-time Private Practice and currently works with adults, youth, and couples dealing with a wide array of challenges. These challenges include anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, stress management, trauma, interpersonal conflict, anger, addiction, and grief and loss.

Kristen works with couples to help them re-establish intimacy and communication after experiencing ruptures in the relationship or communication breakdowns. Kristen has been rated as top three marriage counsellors in Coquitlam by ThreeBestRated.

Whether it is the daily struggles of life that have you overwhelmed, a life event has flipped your life upside down, or whether you are simply seeking personal growth, Kristen is here to support and guide you through. She is truly invested in her clients' well-being. Using a variety of counselling modalities such as Client-Centered Therapy, Adlerian Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and EMDR she will work with you to develop a treatment plan that best supports your needs.

Kristen is an approved provider for the RCMP, ICBC and the First Responders allowing for direct billing.

When Kristen is not counselling, she can usually be found spending time with her husband and children or pursuing her personal interests and hobbies including spending time outdoors, travelling around BC, and reading and writing.
